The Certified Student Leader program at West Virginia University is a co-curricular certification opportunity available to all students interested in enhancing their leadership skills, knowledge, and applications by participation in a variety of leadership and service offerings at the university. The program is self-paced and students may join at any point during their collegiate career. Workshops are sponsored by Student Engagement and Leadership in collaboration with many campus departments to provide an array of opportunities for students to develop leadership experience. Students who complete the program and are in good academic standing will receive a certificate of completion.
Certified Student Leader Program Requirements:
- Take CliftonStrengths Finder assessment
- 12 leadership training workshops

1 Leadership Course
offered by WVU or hold WVU student organization leadership role
- 40 hours of community service
- 4 multicultural programs
- 2 career programs
