REACH Conference (Reimagining Engagement with Action, Culture, & History) - Multicultural Student Leadership Retreat
The REACH Conference aims to promote, foster, and celebrate diversity at West Virginia University and the surrounding communities through education, team building, open dialogue, and facilitated student growth.
On behalf of West Virginia University, Student Engagement and Leadership and the Center for Black Culture would like to formally invite students, advisors, and faculty/staff from West Virginia University and surrounding colleges and universities to the 2024 REACH Conference.
This year, we have decided to host more of a drive-in style conference, in hopes to help other institutions alleviate travel costs. The conference will take place Saturday, November 2, 2024 on the campus of West Virginia University - Morgantown. Our schedule will include plenary sessions, multiple breakout sessions, many opportunities to connect with students and colleagues from other institutions, and a Dinner & Keynote.
Examples of Previous Participants of the REACH Conference: student organization leaders and advisors for culturally-based organization (ex. Black Student Union, Asian Student Associations, Latinx student organizations, Muslim Student Associations, African Students Association, International Student Organization, etc.), Student Government student leaders and advisors, student advocates and allies for underrepresented student communities, and students with an interest in advocacy and coalition building.
